Finally! A Quick And Easy Way To Learn The Arabic Alphabet
Discover The Secret Method That Can Help You Read And Write Arabic Effortlessly And In Only A Few Hours...
by Max Maddocks, MPhil (University of Cambridge)
Learning Arabic can be frustrating at times, especially with a writing system so complex. What if there was an easy way to learn the Arabic writing system quickly and effortlessly, in just a few hours? ...
... "Impossible", you say? Well, let me tell you that I would have reacted in the same way a few years ago. I still remember the frustration of spending nine long months in Arabic class learning the Arabic alphabet. Before I enrolled, I had already successfully learned Spanish and Latin, so I thought Arabic would be a breeze.
Boy, had I been wrong! I was struggling so hard, it seemed mysterious to me how anyone could ever learn to read or write Arabic. All those little squiggles and lines just wouldn’t get into my head, no matter how hard I tried or how many times I copied out by hand each letter.
Fortunately, I found a revolutionary new learning technique that makes learning the Arabic alphabet effortless and enjoyable. I owe a lot to this technique - without it I would never have been able to conduct research in Arabic at the University of Cambridge and gained an MPhil degree in the process.
I want to share this secret technique with you.
By the time you have finished reading this article you will know exactly how this technique works and how you too can master the Arabic alphabet within hours.
The biggest problem when learning the Arabic alphabet
The reason why the Arabic letters seem so mysterious is that you don’t have anything similar stored in your brain that you could associate them with.
If you were learning Greek, for example, you might not know immediately that the letter that looks like our p is actually pronounced like an r. But at least you would have no problem in remembering the shape of the letter, because you have seen this shape many many times in your own language.
Now, the Arabic letters are different – none of the shapes occur in the English alphabet. So there’s nothing for you to associate the letters with.
How a 7-year old Yemeni boy gave me the solution to this problem
I thought long and hard about this problem, but it was only through a chance encounter with a 7-year-old boy in Yemen that I finally found the answer. The boy was attending primary school and was keen to show off his text books to me. When I looked through the books I realized that I hit gold...
...You see, Arab children are practically in the same position as us when we are starting out to learn the Arabic alphabet. They too don’t have any prior associations of the shapes in their minds. This is why some clever Yemeni primary school teacher came up with the idea of associating the shape of the letters with the shape of animals the children already know.
In the picture below on the left you can see the Arabic letter for “n” and on the right the picture of a bee that incorporates the shape of the letter. Now, “bee” in Arabic is nahla. The children associate the shape of the letter with the shape of the bee. And when they see the shape of the letter they think back to the bee and know that it is an “n” sound, because nahla (bee) starts with an “n” sound.
Of course, this only works for Arab children who already know that nahla means “bee”. It doesn’t work for us, because we don’t know these Arabic words yet. This is why I took this method, made it suitable for non-Arabs and refined it into a step-by-step system that you can use to fast track your Arabic learning.
I call this system...

I will demonstrate the power of the method to you now and proof to you that you can learn your first two Arabic letters in the next 3 minutes...
...look at the example below. On the left you see the Arabic letter for “n” again, on the right you see a person with a big belly and a visible navel.
Now, close your eyes and visualize the image in your mind for a few seconds. Whenever you will see the Arabic “n” you will immediately think back to the big belly with the navel, which in turn reminds you that the shape you see before you is the Arabic “n” sound.
Easy, right? Try another letter...
How would you like to try another letter? This time it's the Arabic letter for "m". The letter looks like a mouse, with the little circle of the letter being the main body of the mouse and the long downwards stroke being the mouse's tail.
As you can see this method does NOT rely on hours of excruciating rote memorization. It is a fun and easy way to start out on your Arabic language learning journey.

Why learn to read and write Arabic?
Being able to read and write Arabic opens the door to you to speak fluent Arabic. Here are just some of the benefits that you will get from mastering the Arabic alphabet:
- First step towards fluency. Mastering the writing system is the first step for you towards complete fluency in Arabic. Sure, there are courses that rely completely on audio, but they will not take you very far. For complete mastery you need to learn the Arabic alphabet.
- Praise and recognition from family and friends, as well as potential employers for mastering a “difficult” language. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I have been admired and praised for my Arabic language skills. Speaking Arabic is only next in line to having a degree in quantum mechanics.
- Incredible job opportunities. The Arab world is up-and-coming in terms of business opportunities. Also: wanna be a spy? The CIA and NSA are certainly on the hunt for Arabic speakers.
- If you are doing business in the Middle East (or even if you’re only doing some shopping), then knowing Arabic could be the vital element that helps you build trust and close winning deals
- You’ll be able to talk with more than 280 million native Arabic speakers and a further 250 million who speak it as a second language.
- Once you know the Arabic alphabet you can easily learn other languages such as Persian, Pashto, or Urdu that all use the same alphabet.
- Being able to speak another language is the key to entering another culture. One of the best things about knowing Arabic is that it opens the door to so many wonderful social encounters that would otherwise have remained shut. Arabs are extremely appreciative of anyone making an effort to learn their language.
- Would you like to joke with the merchants in the bazaar? Receive much cheaper prices than other Westerners visiting Arab countries? This happens to me all the time. Sometimes I’m even surprised myself at how much a difference it really makes to speak the language.
- Hey, you might even meet your soul mate thanks to your Arabic skills.
:-)
All this can happen to you if you take action now and buy the Magic Key To The Arabic Alphabet.

What if I just want to learn how to speak Arabic?
Now that you know exactly how to learn the Arabic alphabet, you might still ask yourself why you should learn to read and write if you're only interested in speaking Arabic.
This is a valid question and one that I get asked a lot. In fact, I myself enjoy chatting with the locals much more than reading literature...
...but, even if you are only interested in speaking Arabic you should still learn to read and write the language. Here are the powerful reasons for this:
- In the Arab World everything is written in Arabic! And by everything I really mean everything. Ever entered the wrong restroom because you couldn't read the sign on the door? Well, I can tell you it's not pleasant. ;-)
- Having a grasp of written Arabic will enable you to progress beyond the basics very quickly. Sure, you can learn a few phrases without knowing the Arabic alphabet, but as soon as you want to progress beyond the "Me Max, I live England" type of sentences you will need to learn to read and write.
- Arabs are extremely proud of their cultural heritage and the written word is universally revered in the region. The holy book of the Moslems is called the "Quran" which translates as "the reading" or "the recitation". This should tell you something about the importance of literacy in the Middle East.
- It makes it much easier to grasp the grammatical concepts of the language. All Arabic words are based on root letters - if you know the root letters of a word like "to write" you can easily turn it into "library", "book" or "office". If you rely on the spoken word only it will take you much longer to figure this stuff out (if at all).
- I have arranged for a special bonus that contains 17 hours of spoken Arabic. This bonus is yours for free when you order now. This way you will get the best of both written and spoken Arabic!
