Though I Walk Through The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death

Jay asked me for the Arabic translation of Psalm 23:4 of the Bible:

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

There are a few different versions of the Arabic Bible, but the van Dyke one is quite popular. That’s why I’ve chosen to take the translation from there:

valley-of-the-shadow-of-death_arabic

The pronunciation is as follows:

ayDan idha sirtu fee waadi Zill il-mawti laa akhaafu sharran li-annaka anta ma3i. 3Saaka wa 3ukkaazuka humaa yu3azzeeyanini.

  1. hi i love this so meaningful.. but how to write this on vertical? beccouse i want to put this on my side or ribs.. or on my back/spinal…

  2. Hi Champy! Arabic writing is characterized by connected letters. That’s why the best way to have it vertical is to simply rotate the writing by 90° counter-clockwise.
